How to Play a Warrior

Warriors are perhaps the best class to chose if you are just starting out in WoW. Warriors are tough and easy to keep alive, unlike a Mage for example, and they are relatively simple to play well. But even though they are simple to play, Warriors are not uninteresting, there is a lot to playing a Warrior to it’s maximum potential, and mastering the Masters of WoW Combat.

They are the true fighters of WoW. Some Warriors really are very hard to beat in combat. Blood-soaked battlefields are the Warrior’s playground. They have a true figher’s spirit and can shout out a battle cry to rally the morale of everyone in the group. In player versus player combat, Warriors are usually the centre of the group – especally in the Arena.

The strengths of Warriors is the high hit points they have, the tough defenses as they can wear any armour, and the fact that they can use any weapon they please. The primary weakness of a Warriors is their lack of healing abilities, which is not good for someone that gets hit so much, so you have to learn First Aid and carry lots of healing potions. Their main weakness is probably their lack of healing ability, but First Aid and lots of healing potions make up for it. Also, as a Warrior you get hit so much that you need to always get your armor repaired, which can be costly so get a good money-earning profession.

The racial abilities of each race can help to boost your Warrior right from the start. Dwarves are excellent Warriors because they are very strong and have Stoneskin – which cures poisonand bleeding. resistance to stun and their Blood Fury ability makes Orcs powerful Warriors. While the Trollish ability to regenerate is awesome for a Warrior, plus the Berserk ability. For a sneakier Warrior play a Night elf who can Shadowmeld and creep up on opponents.

Warriors use Rage to power up and do serious damage in combat – all their abilities are based on Rage. They build it up when they fight, or from some abilities and potions. And this is what makes Warrios so powerul against many enemies at once – Their Rage builds up as they get hit – so if they get hit more, they just get angrier and more powerful!

There are a few ways to go when building up your Warrior – one is to become a very strong damage dealer. An all out offensive machine that can destroy anything. Or you can go down the route of becoming the perfect tank – a metal covered battle machine that cannot be killed.
