There are many different racial mounts in World of Warcraft for Alliance players. A mount is a specific type of pet that is permanent to the character that acquires it. Typically, for racial mounts, a character must reach a particular level and must obtain the specific riding skill that is required to use the pet. These particular pets are considered to be a status symbol that provides a high level of functionality to the individual that possesses it. When traveling by mount, a character is able to travel very quickly. The character that possesses a mount in World of Warcraft can easily summon and unsummon the pet when the need arises. Here, you will be introduced to the racial mounts that World of Warcraft players may acquire that play on the Alliance side.
While on the Alliance side the available racial mounts are Rams, Nightsabers, Mechanostriders, Horses, and Elekks. While on the Horde side the racial mounts that are available are Raptor, Kodos, Skeletal Horses, Hawkstriders, and Wolves. Dependent on the race you choose to play, you can incorporate one of the specific mounts into your existing pet inventory once you reach a certain level or acquire a particular reputation. Once your character is high enough to obtain a mount, you should take advantage of the opportunity. Doing so enhances your overall game play with increased speed and will help you gain respect from other game players.
If you have elected to play a Draenei while playing World of Warcraft on the Alliance side, you will be able to obtain an Elekk. You will have to be at a minimum of level thirty if you want to acquire this racial mount. To obtain an Apprentice level riding skill, the cost will be 35 gold. The cost of the mount itself is 10 gold. The speed of any character that rides this mount will have a 60% increase. However, once level sixty is reach the speed of the mount will increase by 100%. The riding skill that is need of this racial mount is 150 and will be a Journeyman. This particular mount costs 100 gold.
For a human Alliance character, a racial mount of a Horse is available. This can be acquired at level thirty and costs 10 gold. This, too, provides a speed increase of 60%. One may choose the Pinto, a Chestnut Mare, a Black Stallion, or a Brown Horse. When the human character reaches level sixty, they may purchase a horse mount that provides a 100% increase in speed levels. It will cost 100 gold, but it is well worth the investment. One may choose from the Swift Palomino, Swift Brown Steed, or the Swift White Steed.
For the Gnome characters, the racial mounts that that can be acquired are the Mechanostriders. The Mechanostrider racial mount costs just 10 gold once the Gnome has reached level 30 and will cost 100 gold when level 60 is reached. The speed of the mount will increase by 60% at level 30 and will increase by 100% at level 60. The Mechanostriders that are available when the highest level is reached are the Swift Yellow Mechanostrider, the Swift White Mechanostrider, and the Swift Green Mechanostrider.
If you play a Night Elf on the Alliance side, you may choose to purchase the racial mount of a Nightsaber when you reach level thirty. You will need to pay 35 gold for the riding skill and 10 gold for the actual mount. At level sixty, you may pay 600 gold for the riding skill and 100 gold for the mount. Lower level Nightsabers available include the Riding Spotted Frostsaber, the Riding Striped Frostsaber, and the Riding Striped Nightsaber. The higher level racial mounts for the Night Elf include the Swift Mistsaber, the Swift Frostsaber, and the Swift Stormsaber.
If playing World of Warcraft on the Alliance side as a Dwarf character, a Ram racial mount is available once the specific requirements are fulfilled. Once level 30 is reached, the Dwarf can select a Brown Ram, a White Riding Ram, or a Gray Ram. This racial mounts will cost 10 gold and the riding skill will cost 35 gold. Once you are at level 60, you will have to pay 600 gold to acquire the riding skill needed to ride this mount. Additionally, you will have to pay 100 gold for the mount itself. At this level a Swift Brown Ram, Swift Gray Ram, or a Swift White Ram can be chosen.
As you can see, there are many racial mounts in World of Warcraft for the Alliance side players. Naturally, racial mounts are not the only type available. There are also many other types of mounts. There are class specific mounts, flying mounts, and many other special mounts. If you are an avid World of Warcraft player, it is important to ensure that you work towards the goal of acquiring a mount.
