A Digimon Come Back!

Digimon Digital Monsters was one of my favorite shows growing up as a child. I remember how I thought it was cool how the digimon could “digivolve” or grow stronger, and then they would fight. As I recall it had a very interesting story with a lot of cool battles and it even had some life lessons for younger children. Unfortunately the series ended and then nobody even knew what digimon was but, years later I heard some great news. My old favorite show, digimon was getting another season. Now let’s talk about the digimon comeback!

What I remember from digimon is that each child on the show had one, they also had a digivice. Using the digivice they could make the digimon digivolve to fight stronger enemies. As the seasons pass the digimon could digivolve further and the digivices gain new features, along with new appearances. There was even one season where the children became the digimon, using their digivices they could use digimon spirits to digivolve. Another interesting season was when they could use digimon trading cards to power up the digimon.

Now we have a new season, Digimon Xros Wars. This season, like the others, introduces a new way to digivolve using the digivices. This digimon digivice allows digimon to digivolve together into one powerful digimon. This is very similar to DNA Digivolution in season two. By using the “Xros Loader” digimon digivice the main charater can build an army to fight the evil digimon.

In closing, I am very happy that digimon is returning. I hope to see this new season in the United States and not only in Japan. It will also be interesting if we see a return of the digimon toys too. Also remember to check out the new digimon season, Digimon Xros Wars!
